Volunteer at the Georgian

Our volunteers are the lifeblood of the Theatre. We simply couldn't operate without them. There are almost 100 dedicated people who contribute up to 100,000 hours each year to make The Georgian Theatre Royal an exciting, thriving centre for artistic excellence.

If you are interested in joining us then we would love to hear from you. Volunteers undertake a huge variety of tasks – they staff the box office, act as ushers, provide backstage support for performances, serve in the bars, look after visitors, provide guided tours, support the Theatre as a museum, care for the archive and generally work to ensure that all elements of the Theatre run smoothly. There is always plenty to do and you can do as much or as little as you want.

As a thank you, volunteers receive special discounts and also free tickets through enrolment in a rewards scheme.
